Can we rent for a few days?
Unfortunately not. We only rent our home on a weekly basis.
Is there shopping nearby?
Yes. There are many small antique and specialty shops located throughout the area. There are also several major shopping experiences less than an hour away:
• Eastview Mall, an upscale regional mall in Victor (SE of Rochester)
• Waterloo Premium Outlets, over 100 outlet stores
• Canandaigua, on Routes 5 & 20 are several strip malls that include many stores such as Wegmans (large supermarket), Wal-Mart and Bed, Bath & Beyond
Is there a boat launch and marina nearby?
Yes and yes. The nearest public boat launch is less than two miles directly north of Cannon Cottage in Keuka State Park. The nearest marina for renting open bow ski boats, pontoons, tubing equipment and buying gas is North End Marina- Bar Bay Boat Rentals. North End, run by the Bercume Family, is located on 3553 New York 54A in Branchport and is diagonally across from Cannon Cottage on the Northwest fork. Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes, there are a nice variety of restaurants nearby in Penn Yan and Hammondsport. For a listing of these and other regional restaurants, visit our restaurants link under “Area Attractions.”
Are there wineries in the area?
The Finger Lakes is one of the most prolific wine producing regions in the world. It is home to dozens of wineries, including 10 on Keuka Lake. These wineries are open year-round. See the area attractions for more details.
Are linens provided?
Yes. We provide sheets, pillowcases and towels for up to 12 people. Beach towels are not included.
Are fireworks permitted?
No, fireworks are not permitted on the property. The City of Canandaigua and the Town of Branchport put on nice firework display for the 4th of July and for Labor Day.
How far are you from Bristol Mountain Ski Resort?
Only about 45 minutes.
Are pets allowed?
No. The owners have severe allergies. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
